July 22, 2025

On July 16, 2025, our consortium partner SPHYNX HELLAS SA co-organized the informational seminar “Cybersecurity & Small and Medium-sized Enterprises”, where they shared actionable insights and presented the SOC4SME initiative — a project that brings high-level cybersecurity protection within reach for Greek SMEs.

As stated in the issued press release titled “Informing businesses about developments in the field of Cybersecurity and Sphynx solutions”:

An informational seminar titled “Cybersecurity & Small and Medium-sized Enterprises” took place on Wednesday, July 16, 2025, at The Golden Age Hotel of Athens. The event was organized in collaboration with the Association of Société Anonyme and Entrepreneurship.

Professor George Spanoudakis, CEO of Sphynx, participated in the event, where he analyzed the modern challenges that small and medium-sized enterprises face in the field of cybersecurity. Special emphasis was placed on compliance with the NIS2 Directive, as well as the practical solutions offered by Sphynx to enhance the resilience and security of businesses. The products and services of Sphynx were presented, which cover the entire spectrum of cyber risk management and compliance with modern regulatory requirements.

The large participation and the intense interest of the attendees confirm that cybersecurity is now an integral part of the sustainability and growth of Greek SMEs. The exchange of experiences and the discussion on real cyber-attack incidents highlighted the need for continuous information, training, and adoption of effective protection measures.

The event also highlighted SPHYNX HELLAS SA’s offer of free SOC (Security Operations Centre) services for 12 months to Greek SMEs through the SOC4SME program, which is co-financed by the European Union.

SOC4SME delivers cutting-edge cybersecurity services tailored to the needs of Greek SMEs and is co-funded by the European Union. The initiative strengthens digital defenses and helps businesses build resilience, comply with NIS2, and grow with confidence.
